The old woods that line the shore have possibly witnessed the white settlement.
My three figures represent the D'Estastreaux expedition: young men searching for La Perouse. He's disappeared after leaving Port Jackson. His letters indicated a southern route, but he sailed north. Never to be seen again.

At The Bend (sold)
Behind my home in the lower Blue Mountains, a creek takes a winding route. At a bend we discovered a wombat, hiding in a cave, but looking out at us with surprise! So this area is a favourite spot for me to paint.
